Storify is a tool that can be used for social media story telling. It allows users to connect with a variety of social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more.

I could see this tool being used for big library events like NJ Makers Day, where we are encouraging people to interact with us using social media. It’s not super intuitive right from the start, but Storify has a great Getting Started page to walk new users through creating a story. It seems to be a pretty good internet marketing strategy and could even be used within social media contests (like #BookFaceFriday or spine poetry).

One of the downsides is that when searching for items to link to your Storify, if there are videos, they all start playing and making noise simultaneously. It also searches come content that may night be accessible to the average user (like JSTOR). Other than a few minor kinks, it is a useful tool.
